This project supported the launch of Just’s mobile app, featuring a video mini-series titled Retire Different. The series showcased individuals and couples sharing how they planned to approach retirement in unique ways, such as pursuing new adventures or embracing creative opportunities.
The role focused on creating dynamic title slates, question plates, and outros that complemented the series' messaging while maintaining brand consistency. A key challenge was utilising Just’s distinctive polygon logo as both a design and transition element, adapting it for various aspect ratios required across platforms. This included developing sleek animations for the polygon to fold in and out, creating seamless transitions between sections.
Additionally, alpha plates were designed for integration with the footage, ensuring smooth movement and visual consistency across different formats. To enhance the storytelling, test footage was created to explore how green-screened backgrounds behind interviewees could display photos and visual content from their lives. This added a personal and engaging layer to the interviews while creatively incorporating the polygon logo into transitions between images.
Collaboration with the video editor ensured that timing and flow were optimised, particularly for transitions and shortened social media edits. The shorter versions prioritised key graphic elements to maintain impact while adapting to the constraints of teaser content.
The final deliverables combined polished design, brand cohesion, and adaptability across platforms, helping Just bring their Retire Different series to life in a visually compelling way.
